about me

I’m Iain Robertson; I’m a thirty-something network engineer, currently in the employ of a medium-sized US-based vendor of network equipment.

I love what I do. I thoroughly enjoy “playing around” with networks and network equipment, and helping people with new network equipment is the main reason I took up this role. I also have an interest in information systems security – and on finding the balance between security and utility.

When I’m not playing with networks, I’m happiest on my motorcycle, and on any of the back roads around Brisbane.

This `blog is intended for me to write about stuff that’s of interest to me: it’s not specifically intended for anyone else’s consumption, but that’s not a statement designed to stop you, dear reader, from reading it!
